Getting my life together

Since our apartment was not furnished with anything besides some furniture we went out this morning to Pound Land which is the equivalent to the American Dollar Store. We took the underground to Holloway Road and we ended up finding a Carphone Warehouse which sells phones and phone plans. Since I already had a phone I just topped up with 10 pounds. I can now text anyone for 10 pence and calls to the US are around 30 pence a minute I think and calls within the UK are 15 pence a minute. People from the US can call me for free but it will cost them money and I have no idea how much it will cost. If you want my phone number ask and I will give it to you. After Alyssia and I got our phones we went to Pound Land which ended up being a very successful trip except for the fact that when I tried to buy a knife I was not allowed to because I was not 21. This is the weirdest rule I have ever heard of...you can drink at 18 but can not buy a little cutting knife until 21??? WEIRD so I guess Alyssia and I will not be using knives until December 6th when Alyssia turns 21. haha.  On the way back home I saw a store that sold random stuff and we went inside and they had POTS & PANS! We bought one of each and we were SO excited because now we can actually cook and eat properly. When we got back to our apartment we set everything up, ate lunch, and hung out before we had to go to UCL to meet with our department which is, Psychology. The Psychology meeting starts at 2:00 and we get there and find out that it has been moved till tomorrow. This was annoying but now at least we know where the building is for tomorrow and we found out that we will be learning how to register which is GREAT because I am confused with their module website. We then went from school to Primark which is a huge store full of clothes, shoes, accessories, and house stuff. We bought some more stuff for our apartment and now we are finally done furnishing our apartment! WHOO HOO! One more stressful thing to cross off my list!
